My name is William Nguyen Phuoc an amateur photographer based in Darwin, Australia. I started out in 2007 with my first digital SLR a Canon 350D photographing everything from family pets through to bugs in my backyard. As I developed my skills in photography it was clear I had a passion for nature photography. My focus these days is mainly birds, landscapes and my favourite, thunderstorms!

I'm a self-confessed lightning addict, storm chasing consumes a lot of my spare time during the Top End's wet season from October through to May. I consider myself fortunate to be living in Darwin the "lightning capital" of Australia. Lightning active storms are a regular occurrence in and around Darwin. Scientists from all around the world come to Darwin to study its amazing thunderstorms. The power and beauty of lightning has not only captured my heart but has inspired me to capture it on camera!

Like most nature photographers I am always striving for that "perfect shot".
